Freeform Robotic Polishing
Summer 2019 - R&D intern Danny Griffin designed and deployed a method for the robotic polishing of formed surfaces. Using closed loop force control, Danny accomplished not only uniform mirror polishing but also the selective polishing of complex patterns on formed stainless steel sheets. Danny teamed up with Local 2 Journeyman and polishing expert Brad Snelling to create this truly unique process.
