Commentary on wasteful 2d sheet fabrication methods. This project used CNC wirebending to construct a canopy using “Stressline Optimization” for the Florida International University’s rooftop courtyard. The building site is a bernard tschumi project and very cool. The budget was tiny so I opted for a lightweight structure and unfortunately I didn’t win.
